HB181/SB435 ASSIGNED TO COMMITTEES
House Bill 181 has been
assigned to the House Higher Education
Committee, of which Representative Gayle Kingery from Poplar Bluff
is the chair. Senate Bill 435 (the companion bill to HB 181) has been
assigned to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Energy and the
Environment, of which Senator Kevin Engler, III from Farmington is the
chair. Advocates who wish to see a bill requiring captioning of electronic
video instructional materials should contact one or both of those
committee chairs and “ask that the captioning
of electronic video
instructional materials bill be given a public hearing.”
