The Missouri Commission for the
Deaf and Hard of Hearing is
pleased to announce that Governor Matt Blunt has appointed
Gloriana T. Pack of St.
Louis to the Commission. Ms. Pack fills
the position that is defined in statute as being a commissioner
representing Interpreters for the Deaf.
Ms. Pack has a degree from Amherst College in Dramatic Arts
as well as being a certified and licensed interpreter in the State
of Missouri. She has worked for the past
several years as an
interpreter for Special School District of St. Louis County. In
addition she works as a VRS interpreter. Ms. Pack’s professional
experiences will benefit the Commission greatly. She has worked
as an interpreter and/or communication specialist for different
interpreter referral agencies in the St. Louis
area, for Spelman
College in Atlanta,
Georgia, St. Louis Community College
at
Florissant
Valley, the State of Missouri
Department of Mental Health,
Judevine
Center for Autistic Children, the City
of St. Louis
- Office
of the Disabled and Paraquad. The staff of MCDHH cordially
welcomes Ms. Pack to the Commission and looks forward to
working together to improve the lives and opportunities of all
Missourians with a hearing loss.
