There will be a public hearing by the House
Financial Services Committee for HB 936 on Tuesday, February 17,
2004 at noon in House Hearing Room #6. HB 936 would require all
insurance companies and HMO's in Missouri to provide coverage for
hearing aids for dependent children up to 19 years of age.
MCDHH will testify in support of that bill, and would welcome any
other advocates who might wish to speak in favor of the bill.
Individuals who cannot attend the public hearing can
show support for HB 936 by contacting their local representative if
he or she is on the House Financial Services Committee and urging
them to support HB 936. If your representative is not on that
committee, you can contact the chair of the committee,
Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer, and express your support for the
