HB 530 (ASL Bill) Voted "Do Pass" by House Higher Education Committee

The House Higher Education Committee held a public hearing concerning HB 530 early this afternoon. Many people testified in support of the bill and nobody testified against the bill. During the hearing, MCDHH presented a packet of 182 letters, faxes, and e-mails that it had received supporting the bill. After the hearing was closed, the Committee went into executive session and voted that the bill "Do Pass." Support for the bill in the Committee was unanimous. We will keep you informed regarding the future progress of this bill.
